Alien Rogue Incursion

Survios, developers of Alien Rogue Incursion explained their Meta Quest 3 & Quest 3S release was recently pushed back to early 2025. Quest was the only platform with a delay it was originally planned for a late 2024 release on all platforms, but will now come out later and PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR users can expect to see it December 19, 2024.

Why the Delay?

In a statement from Survios, the postponement was described as being a matter of prioritizing quality and creating a world-class VR experience for Quest. Alien Rogue Incursion is designed to be a brutal, visceral experience in the Alien universe, and this extra time will allow Survios to continue tuning core gameplay systems and graphical fidelity so that it can run well on Quest headsets.

What to Expect from Alien Rogue Incursion

Alien Rogue Incursion

That’s a bold ask, but the game is marketed as a tense VR horror experience to set foot in the hostile claustrophobia of Alien, where survival depends on stealth, quick thinking and deliberate decisions. Including battling immense Xenomorphs and tracking Andor SPACT in between with the help of many tools as well as methods to combat their fortune. If all this time means something, we should hope for an experience that is both immersive and terrifying fitting to the Alien name.

Release Details for Other Platforms

But those using Meta Quest will have to wait until 2025, while PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR fans can suit up for some Alienworld exploration starting December 19th, 2024. Survios wants to keep the quality of play intact between each platform and franchise fans are excited to see how this will work in VR, where it should all feel like a new experience that VR has been eagerly awaiting.
