The developing team at Owlchemy Labs, which has previously been behind titles such as Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator, have announced one of their latest VR projects today Dimensional Double Shift. Up to four players can team up in this cooperative multiplayer experience, running a wacky diner and service station across the different worlds of the Omniverse. The game works through a hand tracking technology to ensure the utter immersion as well. Throughout a career, players can make tasks and earn rewards for interacting with its customers.
Dimensional Double Shift, which is opening beta on Sept. 26, 2024, appears to be a brutal combo with hilarious chaos and Owlchemy Labs‘ expressive virtual reality environments and irreverent humor. Gamers are going to be bouncing between dimensions serving distinct customers whilst dodging the omnipresent AI supervisor, ALICE.
Features of Dimensional Double Shift:
- Co-Working Chaos: Work together to get stuff done, but be careful as each of the diners will bring a garage full of chaos with them.
- Hand-Tracking Gameplay: The developers have created custom game mechanics that work without controllers to provide a fun experience that feels natural and immersive.
- Corporate Humor: Humor for Cat Ladies Corporate Humor from Conglomni Corp., which is a terrible place to work.
- Rewards and Progression: Earn rewards in the game and move up the ranks within our corporate structure.
Aside from this, new title Owlchemy Labs are best known for their innovative VR titles such as:
- Job Simulator: A satirical look at the future of work.
- Vacation Simulator: A humorous take on relaxation in a virtual world.
- Rick and Morty: Virtual Reality based on the popular animated series.
I can say this is the another best coop game from the same studio. Fans of lighthearted VR experiences can expect Dimensional Double Shift to deliver the same polished, humorous gameplay Owlchemy Labs is known for.
